What is the difference between TM and ®?
The "TM" symbol can be used as soon as you file your trademark application, indicating you claim ownership. The "®" symbol can only be legally used once your trademark application is approved and officially registered by the government registry.
How long does it take to get a Trademark registered?
If there are no objections from the registry or oppositions from third parties, a trademark can typically be registered within 6 to 12 months in India. However, if objections are raised, the process can take longer as legal replies and hearings may be required.
Can I patent a software app idea?
In India, computer programs per se are not patentable.
